I am not a professional genealogist, but I do love genealogy and
work hard to put our giant ancestral puzzle together. My reason for doing each
family page by page is to be able to see clearly how we connect. It
continues to be a work in progress and I'm sure you will find errors that need
correction. My hope is that others will see these pages and fill in the blanks
or correct my mistakes until, working together with family and friends, we
connect the families accurately. Thanks to everyone who has sent in corrections
and additions.
If you want your family added to the site, please let me know
and I will add your pages as well as your pictures. I enjoy doing our genealogy
and I always enjoy adding families.
Many Thanks,
Annette Potter.

Creed and Sarah (Robinson) Potter. Dad and 2nd wife, Betty Brown, didn't have children
together, but I believe Betty had at least 2 daughters from a previous
marriage. I believe Betty's daughters lived in Cincinnati, OH with her family
during their marriage.
Our Dad Creed resided in McRoberts, Letcher, KY at the time of his death on 26
January 1959. He died in the Paintsville, Kentucky Hospital. Dad was a coal
miner. He was the son of
Joel "Mart" Potter and
Eliza Frances Reynolds. Our Grandparents were born in the
same area of Letcher County, and Knott County, Kentucky. Our ancestors lived in the same area of
Southeastern Kentucky for
generations.
Our Mom,
Ida Fuller Potter was the daughter of
Elijah "Green" Fuller and
Leona Smith. Mom and her ancestors were all born in the same area of Knott
County, Kentucky
and lived there for generations.
Our Granny,
Mother of Creed Flannery Potter, was Eliza Francis Reynolds, daughter of
William Henry Reynolds and Matilda
Frances Baker. Granny is also buried in the Reynolds Cemetery, Seco, Letcher
County KY near our Dad, Creed Flannery Potter. Dad's 1st wife Sarah
Rose Robinson Potter Fields, is buried next to him in the Reynolds Family Cemetery,
Seco, Letcher Co KY, as well.
