Hattie Bentley age 92 passed away Wednesday Nov. 25th, 2009 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Hattie was born on Sept. 11th, 1917 to her parents the late Printus Belcher and Victoria P. Belcher. She was the wife of the late John L. Bentley, a homemaker, and a member of the Pilgrim Rest Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Hattie was preceded in death by one daughter, Patty L. Whitt, five infant children, and one brother, Elmer Belcher.
Hattie is survived by one brother, Alfred Belcher of Dorton, two sisters, Margie Moses of Sandstone, Va., Thelma B. Ripley of Sandstone, Va, one granddaughter, Kim Hoffman, and a host of loving family and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Special Services will be Wednesday and Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday 11-27-2009 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Danny Belcher, Arnold Belcher, and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Wright Cemetery at Three Mile Creek.

Opal Robertson of Dover died Friday May 15, 2009 at Kent General Hospital. She was 74. Mrs. Robertson was born October 19, 1934 in Dorton, Kentucky to the late Printus Belcher and Victoria Potter Belcher. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Clarence M. Robertson; her grandson, Christopher Wisneski; her brother, Elmer L. Belcher and her sisters, Daisy Howard, Rose Ratliff, and Isa Huston.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years Clarence Robertson of Dover; her five children, Brenda K. Robertson of Dover, Deanna L. Wisneski of Felton, Cheryl A. Anthony of Viola, Mary S. Manning of Sykesville, MD, Karen Robertson of Dover; siblings, Alfred Belcher of Dorton KY, Hattie Bentley of Dorton, KY, Margie Moses and Thelma Ripley both of Sandston, VA; grandchildren, Erin and Robert Manning of Elkridge, MD, Kimberly and Jamie Anthony of Viola, Brian Wisneski of Felton and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 1PM, Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call 2 hours prior. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
