Bentley rites held
Funeral services for Cecil Buford Bentley, 85, of Neon (KY) were held December 23 (2008). Burial was at Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine (KY). Born in Pike County (KY), he was a retired coal miner and a member of the United Mine Workers of America, a 50-year member of the Free & Accepted Masons, and a World War II Army veteran. A son of the late Alexander Bentley and Clara Mae Fleming Bentley, he was the widower of Pricie Anderson Bentley. He was a brother of the late Mary Thompson, Billie Joyce Perkins, James Bentley, Everette Bentley, Can Martin Bentley, and Alexander Bentley Jr. Surviving him are six sisters, Lucy Sparkman and Lois Ann Collins, both of Knott County, and Sue Slone, Clara Jo Slone, Ethel Slone and Ilene Slone, all of Indiana; three brothers, Ralph Bentley and Dillard Bentley, both of Knott County, and Douglas Bentley of Alabama; Chloe Wolfe Bentley; and a friend, Shelia Bentley.
