Obituary - Edna Mae
Bentley died March 3, 2008 at the Masonic Home in Louisville, KY at the age
of 99. Born at Millstone, KY, she was a daughter of the late Sherman and Ada
Sergent Bentley. She was the widow of Willie D. Bentley, and the mother of the
late William Leonard Bentley, Teddy Eugene Bentley, Walter Darrell Bentley, and
Atha Delores Long. She was also a sister of the late John Buster Bentley, Arthur
Sonny Bentley, Mag Mason, Bertha Hall, Cinda Cook, and Ollie Wright. She was a
member of the Elizabeth Old Regular Baptist Church. Mrs. Bentley begin playing
billiards at the age of 97 and appeared playing pool in the film "Assisted
Living", which used the Masonic Home as a set. She attended the premier of the
film in Louisville, KY. She is survived by five daughters, Lora Lou Meade,
Willie Mae Polly, Sadie Williams, Janice Ann Norman, and Sharon Sue Winningham,
all of Indianapolis, Ind.; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and three
great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held March 6, 2008 at Everidge
Funeral Home. Burial was in Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine, KY. Posted in the
