Hi Annette,
I found your post by accident and felt the need to add some corrections. I am a granddaughter of William Manon Holbrook & Rachel Virginia Hall Holbrook. Edwin Holbrook is my father. I am not the child of Edwin and his 2nd wife, Lucille Stidham. Lucille was his 3rd wife. The woman you have listed as his 3rd wife was actually his 1st wife. My mother was his 2nd wife, Bernadine Tolliver. My older brother, Edwin Dean Holbrook, was also her son. Chester Wade Holbrook & Jeffrey Keith Holbrook are Lucille’s sons. My dad was married to his first wife before he joined the air force at the end of WWII. They were divorced sometime after the war. He then went to Whitesburg High School on the GI Bill & met my mother & married her. She died in childbirth (along with a child who also died). Daddy married Lucille a few years later.
My Uncle Basil married Patricia Brenner. She was never referred to as Patricia Branham. Aunt Pat was born and grew up in Arlington, VA. Uncle Basil met her when he was stationed there at the end of WWII. Both are still living & now reside on Crafts Colly, Letcher County near their daughter, Judith Collins.
I just wanted to clear up a few points in the info posted concerning my family. Thank you very much.

Hello,
I am the grandaughter of “Uncle Wibb” and Drusillar
Reynolds Collier who built the Collier Addition in Neon,
Kentucky and always knew that I was some sort of “cousin” to the Potters, Wrights and Quillens. Recently, I have been researching both the Colliers and
Reynolds and remember the Reynolds cemetry very well for my father Morgan T. Collier, mother Adele Rodgers Collier and sister Margaret “Peggy” Collier are
buried there with the other members of the family. The listing for Peggy’s years are off by 10 on the cemetery listings, understandable by the age and wear.
She was born in 1934 and died in 1935.
I have enjoyed reading some of the information and must congratulate you on your extensive work. However, I believe that the connections between the Colliers from Willie D. to Richard and then to the Colliers of Millstone is not an actual connection as I know my grandfather was born in Prestonburg, and for some reason when I was small I often hear the family
members indicate that “no” we were not related to the
Colliers of Millstone. Am not sure about this-but perhaps you can claify this for me. Thanks again, for
all of your work.

Hi Patricia,
I can’t tell you how many times I have heard that someone or other is not related to another “branch” of this family or that, but I can almost assure you that unless your Collier was adopted, you are more than likely related somewhere down the line.
Sorry about that, but not wanting to be related doesn’t make it so.
Good hunting,
Annette Potter

Was Mary “Polly” Craig 54 when she had Hezekiah??? I really think we are missing at least one generation in our tree. Feed back would be great!
Deborah
The death record for Ferdinand Parsons clearly shows his birth date as 1824 not 1842 as most have in their tree. It also clearly states that his parents are steven Parsons and mother, Mary DeBord. I think everyone is confusing two people most likely from the same family. Please help!

Just found documents that William Robert Parsons married Mary Craig. That William Robert is from England. The William Parsons from Virginia married a Nancy Parsons.

more info for you, lovian brinton ramsey married twice. #1 you have as Sallie Scot Williams (and children) correct. #2 wife was Lucy Allen. They had 3 children–Moody Dwight Ramsey, Lovena Ramsey, and Paul Carmen Ramsey. (Lucy Allen ‘s sister named Ida Allen married one of Lovians brothers)

You have my great grandfather as “James Patrick Patton Skeen’. No “Patrick” to his name. He was James Patton Skeen (called Patton Skeen).
Married Elizabeth “Betty” Breeding. Would appreciate the error being corrected.
Thanx
