This message is in response to Joe Bently. I am the Daughter of Altia Bentley one of the children of Masho Bently.I noticed that many of the names were spelled wrong.Mashos wife was Dosha Wright. The children were Charles Elmer Bently,Martha Lititia Bentley,Edna Berta Bentley and Altia Bentley.Masaho was born Aug 11.1898 and died Oct 13,1973.He spent 45 years in the mental hospital where his mother LItitia and brother Orville had him committed.

Charles Elmer Bentlet had two Children; Sandra and Michael. He was married to Helen but I don’t remember her maiden name.

Edna Berta married Phillip Lane and had two children but I dont remember their names .I’ll try to find them for you.

Martha Lititia married Hank Wright. Their children were Patricia,Rodger,and Daniel.

Altia May Ramsey married Robert(Buster) O. Ramsey . Their Children were Drema Lee, Linda Lou, Cathryn Sue, Robert Stephen, Althea and Timothy Mark.

I was so happy to find your site as we were quite cut off from the Bentley family.
I can provide some more of this line of the Bentley family if anyone would like to have it.
Joe Bentley would be my second cousin.We never had any contact with John Vent or Lititia (our grandparents) or any of their siblings.

Hi Annette, I have been researching the Sherd Mullins Family for Years. My Grandfather Thomas M Lester was Born out of wed lock He went by his Mother’s
Maiden Name Lester ( Alcy Lester ). I know for A fact That he was A Mullins and his
Father was Sherd Mullins. I think it was Sherd Mullins Sr. According to the Old Regular Baptist Minuate’s His Father was Sherd. Some Older People called him Tom
Mullins. Do you have any Information about this Matter. I know Sherd Sr. or Sherd Jr. was his Father, I noticed you have Thomas M Lester Married Westina Burks as his

I’m so glad you enjoyed the website. I don’t have any more information about Sherd and his son Thomas that I know of, but you can do a search for different spellings of the name and there may be something more on the website. In the meantime, I will try to find more about the family. If you find anything you want to add or correct, please let me know and I will add your submissions.

I read some of the names in your genealogy such as Pleasant, there was a Pleasant Potter in Warren Co,KY. He had 12 children. His father was Frederick Potter. Fred’s father was Thomas Potter. Fred was married to Elizabeth Kirby. I have a sense that these also might be some of your ancesters. I think Pleasant was a banker in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Fred’s brother was William Potter, he married Nancy Kirby a sister to Fred’s wife. Williams son Daniel came to Mo in about 1858. i descended from him. Of course by now you probably have searched this part of the family. sincerely, Betty
