I’m glad you like the site. I love hearing from the visitors, too. It’s nice when they email or post in the forums or guestbook.
I have used Legacy, but I don’t use it anymore because it limits you to what you can do with the free version and it prompts you to buy the full version so you can use their advanced settings. I haven’t tried family tree maker, so I don’t know about that one. Most of the mailing list people use family tree maker, but I have not used it. Do you get to download the complete version of Legacy? If so, that will be very nice. I really like PAF a lot. It is very nice. Legacy used to be very nice, too until they started limiting usage of it. I don’t like the limited usage.
I use the PAF software. After you add all your info into the program, you just click on make a webpage and it makes one for you. It will put everything you have added into the software on the webpage, so it’s a good idea to make sure your info is correct. You just upload the whole thing to a website and there it is. It’s nice, and I have used it for about 150 pages on the website, because I got tired of all the coding and wanted them up there real fast. (Here’s Anthony Hall and Ruth Butler done with the PAF software) Also if you make additions, you have to re-upload the entire website and over-write the original you uploaded previously. Anybody can have a genealogy website if they use that software and know how to upload it to the internet and know how to make a few little tweaks to the setup.
Ancestry has really ticked off a bunch of folks. Folks uploaded all their stuff and now they have to be paying members. That’s sneaky, isn’t it. That’s why I like our site. I just put it out there and no one can decide to limit the access to us.
That is really nice that Jinaquin tries out for things like that. It takes courage to do those auditions and I know that you have to be very competetive.
I don’t know anything about Wallyworld. I don’t even know what it is. What is Wallyworld?
Someday I would like to go to the Holocaust museum myself. I have seen a lot of articles and documentaries about the Holocaust, but I haven’t been to the museum. As a matter of fact, I didn’t even know there was one here in Houston. Where is it? It is very sad and horrible what has been done to them. It’s an awful thing. It’s unreal that there are still people doing bad things to them even today.
I don’t think I would like to live in Burke Towers. Those apartments are way to close and cramped. I do want to move to a different place, though. I am going to find a place this week and also enroll in classes. Love you, Annette

I am like you. I love PAF. OH, Wallyworld is walmart! The Holocaust is acroos from Clayton Library. Well, almost across. Lil Creed and Creed went to the farm today. His dog, Freckles, died last night. they buried him next to fluffy and woofer. the little hill i guess will be a pet cemetery. jacinda survived her gall bladder surgery. the dr said it was the worst he had ever seen. he did not know how she stood the pain. we had been trying to get her to have the surgery for 3 yrs. it was time. do you have the box for your tv? the one that unless you have hd, etc you have to have the box so you can watch tv. the government gives you a coupon for 25-40 (i am not sure how much). i think clark said it cost about $60. we have cable or we would have to buy one. there is really nothing on tv, even with cable. tomorrow we will go to church to watch Pres. Hinckley’s funeral. if we had dish tv, we could watch it at home. did clark tell you he had made high priest president? creed is elder’s quorum president, tracey is 2nd counselor in the women Relief Society. i am still compassionate service leader…..been it for so long……..at least i have a calling. you should see my legs. they are wrapped from toe to knee. they are wrapped first with a stocking (like a cast stocking), then cotton, then guaze, then foam and then ace bandages (some really strong kind). they say i will have to do this the rest of my life. hope clark is looking for another wife because, i don’t think i will do this very long. tracey has it in her had, so i made sure she went to the dr asap to get treatment. i waited 10 yrs before i found someone who would treat the swelling. bille has the blisters, i told her to do it while they could correct it and not to wait like i did. of course, i waited because no dr understood. at lease my feet and legs do not hurt anymore. my ankles are the size when i married. today is the only bad day i have had since after the 1st week of treatment. clark has to do all the wrapping, so i figure it will take us awhile to learn the right way. blah balh blah….i am suppose to have a heart stress test on monday. what a waste. they have already said nothing wrong with my heart. he just wants to see a birth defect because no other dr ever picked it up. he thinks maybe phen-phen did it. i had the test for phen when the law suits started. i was okay but they did not see the defect either….hummmmmmm
what classes are you enrolling in?????? something interesting? are you taking spanish again? photography? Art? you can do anything…love ya, kaie

I’m sure it will work out fine. Just one of those things that happens once in a great while. Thank goodness it doesn’t happen often. I’m sure every web editor has problems like that from time to time. You can’t please everyone, and that’s just the way it is. I’ve really had great luck with this website and haven’t had that happen except this one time, so I think that’s a pretty good record for all the years we’ve had this website up. Our visitors to this site have all been very nice people and have been nothing but helpful, and I have just been very fortunate in that respect.

hey woman! sorry i have not been responding to you. i have been down in the bed with these legs….ahhhhhhhhhhhh! i finally took a pain pill and thought i would give the computer a try. just please have a little patience with me. i am a whiney baby and a sissy…i talked with judy and she did not have a lot of info for you. she does have pictures and will get them to you for the web site. amber is married to carlos ???? Oritz. The baby boy was born 3 dec 2007. his name is carlos adien Ortiz. that is all she could remember just off the top of her head. you know how us granny’s are…okay, call me so we can talk president voting…..sorry i haven’t called you. i have just been in bed for a couple of days..whay whay whay….yesterday, judy had a party for the potter feb bdays. it was for cody huck (not a blood potter) 1 feb, steely 3 feb, drew 4 feb, briana 22 feb, allauna 22 feb, stephen 24 feb and creed 25 feb. i think that is all. love ya, kaie

I know how that old timers thing is. Heehee. I’m sorry you have not been well. Please don’t worry about not getting in touch when you are not feeling well. I completely understand. I know you have been ill and I hope you feel better very soon. Thank you so much for the info about Amber’s baby. I will make sure it goes on their web page. I also added the birthdays that you submitted here. Is Creed 25 Feb – Creed dad or Creed son? I just put Creed Potter on the birthday page. I’ll add more when you let me know which one he is. Do you want me to put Cody Huck on there, too? Is that Cody’s full name? More work for you.. don’t you just love it?

that would be creed, Dad. we call the other Lil Creed! you know i do not know Cody’s full name. i know he is a direct descent of White Cloud. White cloud was his great grand father.
oh, j mart;s son, bobby called today. do you think you could find his birth certificate on line? the lawyer needs it. his is the corrected one when he was adopted. i think they do away with the original when you are adopted. do they? i have several friends that are adopted and sometimes it cost them several thousand dollars to have the files opened. they love their adopted family but they always want to know their blood line. funny how that works…have you ever submitted your dna to the genealogy dna bank? i did about 15 yrs ago. it is interesting…love ya, kaie

good morning! i was just looking at the old photos i have in clark’s album. i noticed that someone had written a note over 2 years ago asking about some of them. i have gone through and put what info i had on them. is there some way we could put them in a barnhill/bookman folder? that way maybe someone will pick up on the name and tell me who they are? i had to dig out a baby picture of me for tuesday night at church. everyone is suppose to bring one and we guess who they are. i was surprised to find that raquel looks like my baby picture except for the potter blue eyes and blonde hair. do you have the pictures on the web site of your dad with clark and the sheriff o neon standing behind the cab? if not maybe i can scan and email to you..it would be a miracle if i could actually do it…..you might have to come here and do it your self…..love ya, kaie tonigt clark and i drove to galveston. the cad would not pass inspection because the battery did not have enough miles on it. we had to drive it 70 miles. we went down to the sea wall and ate at sonic. it is right on the sea wall and it is cheap… we came back and thought of stopping at wallly wood to see you. then decided we probably would just get in your way. love ya, kaie

I read your info. on the Johnson’s, 5 i. Elisha Johnson “Groundhog Lish” is my gr-gr-grandfather. He was the son of David Johnson and Anna Hall Johnson. David was the son of Eli Johnson and Susannah Martin Johnson. Elisha’s second wife was Marilda Mullins. I found her grave last summer. I know the cemetery where Anna Hall is buried, but there is no marker. Elisha is buried in the Johnson family cemetery. I have put flowers on his grave, since I was a little girl. I found Eli Johnson and Susannah Martin graves two years ago in MO. She died in 1859. You can still read their names on the tombstones. Take care.
