Hi Annette,
I finally got the pictures downloaded from my camera to the computer last night of my trip to Letcher County so I am working on sending those to you today, as soon as I figure this thing out you know with me it takes awhile haha.
We had such a geat time up there thanks to Hazel and Burt, they are such wonderful people had it not been for Hazel I would of been totally lost, also Ernie Collier for all the help in locating the cemeteries and my family members.
You have a great day and God Bless
Anne

Hi Anne,
That’s why I use Outlook Express. All I have to do when I want to send a picture is to right click the picture and click send to mail recipient and it goes out. I don’t have to worry about the size of the photo or anything. It’s great. Anyhow, let me know if I can help you in any way. You should be able to upload them straight into the Gallery with your password and username if you don’t want to send them to me. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Hi Hazel, Ann and Everyone,
I (Annette Potter) would like to thank Anne Holbrook Meador and Hazel Potter Thompson for going up to the Reynolds Family Cemetery, Seco, Letcher Co KY to photograph the grave of my Dad, Creed Flannery Potter. I appreciate it so much! It means a lot to me that you took the time to climb around on those steep hills to get those wonderful photos!
I would also like to say thank you to both Hazel and Anne for the other photos they submitted to the website for the photo gallery and for the pages. The photos are all wonderful and I have literally spent the entire day (except for my nap, Hazel..haha) going through the photos and adding them to the Photo Gallery.
It’s cousins like you who really make this website fun, new and interesting. Thank you both from the bottom of my heart.
Your Cuzzie,
Annette

Morning Ms. Annette,
Just wanted to leave a little note telling you how much me and my family appreciate all that you do on your web site for us.. all the pictures we send for you to put in albums on your web site is only a small sample of all that you do.. we love your web site.. taking pictures has been a hobby of ours for many years and we love sharing the pictures with everyone.. going to the different cemeteries in Letcher Co. Kentucky sure was a fun filled day for Anne, Ernie and myself. I love every minute of our time together running from place to place…. taking the pictures of your Dad and brothers head stones was only a “small deed” that we could do for you compared to the things you do for us.. you have such a great web site and I’m sure it has taken hours and hours and hours of work.. you really don’t know just how much you are appreciated .. we spend hours on your web site..
I’ve had my grandchildren all weekend and we have to take them home today so tomorrow if I see you signed in I will call .. Have a great day.. And from the bottom of my heart a great big ” Thank You “…..
we love you..
Just Me…

You know I just love you to pieces and your lovely family. I couldn’t do it without you and I can’t thank you enough. You are a very special part of this website and it would be nowhere near as nice without all you do. Love you, Love you, Love you and all your precious family, too.

This was just too nice to pass up. I found it on the internet while browsing around looking for information for the Hatfield and McCoy Feud. I especially appreciated the term “geneasolitaire” … it describes how I often felt before I had all the great help I continue to receive from friends and family on this website.
The Elusive Ancestor
I went searching for an ancestor. I cannot find him still.
He moved around from place to place and did not leave a will.
He married where a courthouse burned. He mended all his fences.
He avoided any man who came to take the U.S. Census.
He always kept his luggage packed, this man who had no fame.
And every 20 years or so, this rascal changed his name.
His parents came from Europe. They should be upon some list
of passengers to U.S.A., but somehow they got missed.
And no one else in this world is searching for this man.
So, I play geneasolitaire to find him if I can.
I’m told he’s buried in a plot, with tombstone he was blessed;
but the weather took engraving, and some vandals took the rest.
He died before the county clerks decided to keep records.
No Family Bible has emerged, in spite of all my efforts.
To top it off this ancestor, who caused me many groans,
Just to give me one more pain, betrothed a girl named JONES.
- by Merrell Kenworthy -
Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did,
Annette

Good Morning Annette,
Sorry I haven’t been online much but since I broke my hand I haven’t been doing much of any thing, but all is better now and getting back into the old routine. I wanted to let you know that I have obtained a copy of the book “Tragedy In Tin Can Holler” by Rozetta Mowery and for each and everyone it is a must read book, it is great I finished it in a day and a half once I picked it up I couldn’t lay it down. It is a book that is very well written and with simple understanding of this family that has gone through such tragedy. Each person should learn about this thing called domestic violence and how it seems to be a cycle that must be broken.
I just wanted to let you know I am so sorry I haven’t been in touch lately and to thank you for adding the pictures for me and I have more to send. The site is wonderful as always and I am never disappointed when I get on, you do such a wonderful job and thank you for all the hard work you do for others to enjoy. Have a wonderful day and I will be talking to you soon.
Luv Ya and God Bless
Anne

Annette,
I have submitted Jinaquin for prayer request a couple of times but they are not on the web site. Do you have a clue as to what I am doing wrong. I really believe it will take prayer to bring her through.
Love ya, Kaie
