Earlene Williams, daughter of the late Earlis and Mabel Whitaker Cornett, was born December 16, 1942 in Blackey, Kentucky. She passed away at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky being 79 years, 10 months and 25 days of age at the time of her passing.
Earlene married John Williams on October 23, 1965 in Blackey, Kentucky. He passed away March 30, 2014. She was a devout Christian who served the Lord in all she did and a member of the First Baptist Church in Whitesburg, Kentucky. She was a dedicated servant to her community as a city councilwoman for the City of Whitesburg, Kentucky.
She lived with a joyous heart in all she did and extended kindness and love to all who knew her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.
She is survived by her two loving daughters, Wendy (Claude) Little of Whitesburg, Kentucky and Nikki (Marcus) Bowling of Salvisa, Kentucky; a sister, Glenna Harris of Whitesburg, Kentucky; a sister-in-law, Edith Atcher of Lexington.
Also surviving are five grandchildren, Luke (Makayla) Little, Jake Bowling, Sam Little, Jonah Little and Josie Bowling; a nephew, Cory (Kelsey) Harris; a niece, Leah (Brandon) Craft; a great nephew, Carson Harris; two great-nieces, Kinslee Harris and Sadie Craft and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

James Michael Mike Harris, 62, of Whitesburg, died March 31 (2021) at the University of Kentucky Medical Cemetery in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky.
Born in Louisville, he was the son of Glenna Stewart Smith of Whitesburg.
Mr. Harris was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church in Whitsburg, Letcher County, Kentucky. He was a former Letcher County Kentucky School Board member. He worked for Pepsi from 1981 until 2019 when he retired. He went on to work for Childers Oil from 2019 until the time of his death.
Mike married Glenna Jean Cornett on September 11, 1982.
Mike was known for his kindness to others and his gentle Spirit. He loved God and lived life with a servant's heart.
He enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He took tremendous pride in his family, devoting all of his time to his children and grandchildren.
Survinging in additon to his mother are his wife, Glenna Jean Cornett Harris; a son, Cory Harris and wife Kelsey of Mayking, Kentucky; a daughter, Leah Craft and husband Brandon of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; two sisters, Sheree Combs and husband Don of Paris, Kentucky, and Robin Jolly and Barry of Jeremiah, Kentucky; and three grandchildren, Carson and Kinslee Harris and Sadie Craft.
