Ok, one more time. Linda Stewart.....I don't put all your stuff on here. Other people send it to me and I put it up as a courtesy to them. I really get sick and tired of you know it all people who are so eager to correct things on this site without reading everything first. Why don't you take the time to find out what this site is all about. First of all, this site was first put up for my own family, not everyone else's. My Potter family is what I started out to do. Then I heard from 100's of people who wanted their info up also. I am NOT A GENEALOGIST.
As far as misspellings go, lots of folks put names spelled in all kinds of different ways for the internet search engines. I'm not going into detail about it because I just frankly don't want to. If some of your family is wrong, put a link up so I'll know what the heck you're talking about and IF I GET THE TIME I will correct it. In the meantime, do your own research use what you can of all the submitters information and don't worry about what is on here. As long as you get your research done and done the way you want it done, you'll be fine. I've worked my tail off for many years on this site. If it's not good enough for you, then don't come here. Go somewhere else.

Several errors on the listing for Alexander Johnson and Thursa Ann Burke. These are my great-grandparents. Alex was not a son of Robert Johnson and Esther Branham. Thursia is the correct spelling. Not Theresa or Thursday as we've seen it spelled. She was named after an aunt with the same name. WE have documents with her name spelled correctly. Nathaniel was a brother of Alex and is buried at the National Cemetery in Colorado. His nephew Nathan Thomas was an attorney in DC and died at home (Hartley, KY) not too long after his little sister Mary Elizabeth died at age 9 in the Flu epidemic. They are buried beside each other on the family cemetery. John B and Kate had 9 children. The last 2 daughters died in infancy. The children were: Hazel Gladys, Jessie Merle, Vesta Lou, Thomas, John B. Jr., Helen Sue, and my dad Hobart Arthur. Also, Jack's name was not Jackson. He has always been Jack, even on his military documents. Both he and brother Richard served in WW2. Richard's wife Dixie and Jack's wife Bertha were sisters and were Osbornes.Mazie's name was spelled with a z and not Magie according to all written examples I have seen. I remember her well and her name was always pronounced as a z sound. It is easy to make mistakes on these things. There are several independent families of Johnsons who are not directly related but have similar names. As a note my grandpa, John took the middle initial B to differentiate himself from other John Johnsons. The B is only a B and stands for nothing. He was a school teacher at the school house just a short distance up Marshall's Branch of Longfork.

On the Robert "Bob" Johnson and Esther Branham page there is a listing for Alexander Johnson. This is incorrect. Alex was not out of this lineage.

Annette - do you have proof of Elizabeth Stewart's lineage and her marriage to William E Neeley (Russell-Scott County 1810 ish)? William is in my direct line and I have been trying to find documentation on them (and William's parents, David M and Margaret Peggy Hancock Neeley). I am also trying to make that link for the DAR
BTW - both Elizabeth and William died in Owsley County, Kentucky.
