She was born November 15, 1920, at Banner, Ky, the daughter of the late Jack Sellards and Nancy Akers Sellards. Mrs. Hall was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Hall Hamilton and Holly Denise Hall both of Stanville, Ky, one brother, Jack Buford Sellards, Corbin, Ky, three sisters, Aileen Hall, Betsy Layne, Ky, Jewel Conn, Harold, Ky, Georgean Cecil, Stanville, Ky, and three grandchildren, Amanda Hamilton, Paige Duncan and Drew Duncan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, Edward Grahan Sellards, David Estill Sellards, and one sister, Elsie Estep.

He was born Dec. 11, 1947, in Floyd County.
His wife, Jo Ann Bays Akers, survives.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home in Martin. Burial will be in Davidson Memorial Garden at Ivel.

Tuesday, May 26, 1998,in Firelands Community Hospital,Sandusky,Ohio . She
was born March 25, 1925, in Pike County, Ky. She had been a resident of
Vickery since 1961 and worked for Gladio Food Service.
She is survived by her husband, Rastus Collins; five sons, Jett Lee Collins
and Larry Collins, both of Sandusky, Robert Collins of Huron, James Collins
of Vickery and Kenneth Collins of Green Springs; one daughter, Mrs. Jack
(Kathy) Russell of Clyde; and three sisters, Joy Purneske of Kentucky,
Valerie Holly of Akron and Mary Holly of West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by one daughter Rosemary Collins; her parents, Don
Kidd and Mary Wolfe Kidd; and four brothers, Paris, Junior,Floyd and Jett
Kidd. The Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde, are in
charge of arrangements.
The Rev. Darrel D. Branham of the Chapel of UAW Local, officiating.
Interment was in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, Ohio.

Elder Dennis Kidd, age 85, of Dana, husband of Alpha Akers Kidd, passed away Friday, May 29, 2009, at Highlands Regional Medical Center, in Prestonsburg.
He was born December 27, 1923, in Dana, the son of the late Green B. Kidd and Hulda Mulkey Kidd. He was a retired carpenter, a World War II Army veteran, and moderator of the Little Salem Regular Baptist Church, in Dana.
Survivors include his wife, Alpha; two sons: Danny Ray (Barb) Kidd and Bill (Lisa) Kidd, both of Dana; six daughters: Sue (Carlos) Akers, Joann (Vaughn) Watson, Jan (Teddy Ray) Akers, and Pauletta (Edgar) Hughes, all of Dana, Janet Kaye (Keith) Akers of Winchester, and Carol (Greg) Akers of Harold; one brother, Clarence Ed Kidd of Dana; two sisters: Bertha Boyd of Dana, and Maudie Peterson of Oregon; 23 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, and 11 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services for Dennis Kidd were conducted Sunday, May 31, at 11:00 a.m., at the Little Salem Regular Baptist Church, in Dana, with Old Regular Baptist ministers officiating.
Burial was in the Akers Cemetery, in Dana, with the Hall Funeral Home, in Martin, caring for those arrangements.
Visitation was at the church.

Alpha Akers Kidd, age 87, of Dana, Ky., widow of Elder Dennis Kidd, passed away Friday, July 02, 2010, at her residence. She was born June 26, 1923, in Dana, Ky., the daughter of W.L. Akers and Minnie Jarrell Akers. Mrs. Kidd was a homemaker and a member of the Little Salem Old Regular Baptist Church, Dana, Kentucky.

Funeral services for Alpha Akers Kidd was conducted Sunday, July 4, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at the Little Salem Old Regular Baptist Church, at Dana, with the Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial followed in the Akers Cemetery, at Dana, with the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Ky., caring for those arrangements. Visitation was at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Dennis Ray Akers, Benny Joe Akers, Michael Akers, Russell Kidd, Matt Kidd, Denny Paul Watson, Jeff Watson, Bill Josh Kidd, Eric Hughes, Austin Hughes, Justin Hughes, Devon Akers, Jody Akers, and Craig Akers.

Obituary
Velma BowlesLongtime Barstow resident Velma Irene Bowles, peacefully went to her Heavenly Father on Nov. 14, 2006, a the age of 78. She was born on April 8, 1928, in Lane, Okla. She moved to the Barstow area in 1956 with her husband Gordon Fred Knabe and family. She worked at the Marine Corps Logistics Base until she retired in 1978. She was divorced from Gordon Knabe in 1958 and married Howard Bowles in 1961. After the death of Howard Bowles in 1983 she continued to live in Barstow. She is survived by daughter, Paula Knabe (Giordano) of Squaw Valley; sons, Michael Knabe of Fresno and Donald Knabe of Oak Hills. Velma was preceded in death by her son Gordon in 1974; mother, Ruby Jones in 1998; and her father, George Jones in 1938. She loved her family dearly and she touched the lives of many. Graveside services and interment was at the Veterans cemetery in Riverside on Nov. 27, 2006.

Born in Logan, West Virginia, May 11, 1925, he served 27 years in the United States Marine Corps, was a member of the Barstow Moose Lodge, was a warehouse (Civil Service) for the Marine Corps for the last nine years.Survivors include his wife Velma; sons Michael Knabe of Fresno and Donald Knabe of Rialto; daughter, Paula Giordano of Sqaw Valley; brothers Franklin Bowles of Burke, Virginia and Charles Bowles, of Denver, North Carolina; sisters Barbara Farthing of Vienna, Virginia and Patricia Lane of Beckley, West Virginia.
Visitation 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, with services 4 p.m. Wednesday, both in Mead Morturary, Barstow. Private interment.Some family members say that he was an alcolholic.
