TACKETT, Hatler Age 85, of Beaver, died Saturday, July 1, 2006, at Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg. Born August 20, 1920, at Beaver, he was the son of the late Thomas and Fannie Hall Tackett. He was a retired coal miner, and a member of the UMWA. In addition to his wife, Myrtle Osborne Tackett, he is survived by: two sons, James Tackett, of Beaver, and Gary Tackett, of Grethel; five daughters, Betty (Donald) Brown, of Beaver, Dianna (Muncie) Meade, of Dema, Nina (the late Charles) Hall, Alma Lou Tackett, and Rosalee Tackett; one brother, Clifford Tackett, of Beaver; two sisters, Carolyn Newsome, of McDowell, and Mary Bella Hall, of Ellijay, Georgia; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Zadis Dean (Maggie) Tackett; and, one daughter, Lucille Tackett. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, July 4, at Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church, in Teaberry. Ministers of the church officiated. Burial was in Hall Cemetery, at Grethel. Visitation was conducted at both the funeral home and the church. Services were conducted each night. All arrangements by Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin. (FCT'S)

Barbara Caudill, age 64, of Beaver, wife of Arthur Caudill, died

Thursday, July 18, 2002, in the Highlands Regional Medical
Center,
Prestonsburg.
She was born January 23, 1938, in Beaver; a daughter of the late Tom
and Fannie Hall Tackett. She was a homemaker and a member of the Samaria
Regular Baptist Church, Teaberry.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Kenneth Ray
Caudill (Tina Lynn) and Arthur Caudill Jr., both of Beaver; one daughter,
Angela Caudill Gilley (Randy) of Beaver; three brothers, Georgie

Tackett, Clifford Tackett, and Hatler Tackett, all of Beaver;
three sisters,
Carolyn Newsome of Beaver, Lacie Teems and Mary Belle Hall Clayton,
both of Ellijay, Georgia, and two grandchildren, Shane Caudill and
Brittany Caudill.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers,
Thomas Jr., Amos, Willie, Andy Jack, Green and Henry Tackett; three
sisters, Vernia Paige, Roberta Tackett and Wanda Tackett.
Funeral services for Barbara Caudill were conducted Sunday, July 21, at
noon, in the Samaria Regular Baptist Church, Teaberry, with Regular
Baptist ministers officiating.
Burial was in the Caudill Cemetery, Beaver, with Hall Funeral Home,
caring for those arrangements.
Pallbearers: Phillip Newsome, Brian Tackett, Amos Tackett, Jason

Caudill, Roger Caudill, Shane Caudill, Clinis Newsome Jr., Scott

George D. Tackett, 62, of Beaver, died Wednesday, August 28, 2002, at
the Pikeville Methodist Hospital, following an extended illness.
Born on December 26, 1939, at Beaver, he was the son of the late Thomas
and Fannie Hall Tackett. He was a disabled coal miner and a veteran of
the Army.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Flanary Tackett of Beaver.
Other survivors include one son, Scott Tackett and wife, Tammy, of
Craynor; two brothers, Clifford Tackett and Hatler Tackett, both of Beaver;
three sisters, Carolyn Newsome of Beaver, Lacie Teems and Mary Belle
Hall, both of Ellijay, Georgia, and two grandchildren, Amby and Dustin
Tackett.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter,
Marsha Tackett; five brothers, Thomas Tackett Jr., Andy Jack Tackett,
Amos Tackett, Willie Tackett and Henry Tackett; and four sisters, Barbara
Caudill, Vernia Paige, Roberta Tackett and Wanda Tackett.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 31, at 11 a.m., at
Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home in Martin, with Old Regular Baptist
ministers officiating.
Burial will be in the Davidson Memorial Gardens at Ivel, under
direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.
Visitation is at the funeral home.

Born November 18, 1945, in Beaver, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Ella Mae Bentley Hall. She was a homemaker, and attended Little Rosa Regular Baptist Church of McDowell. She is survived by her husband, Virgil Tackett Sr. of Beaver. Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Virgil Jr. and Margie Tackett of Beaver; a daughter and son-in-law, Helena and Oley Hall Jr., of Beaver; three brothers, Dewey Hall Jr. of Flemingsburg, Virbil Hall of McDowell, and Willie D. Hall of Beaver; three sisters, Clara Hamilton of Teaberry, June Helen Newhouse of River Rouge, Michigan; and Edith Marie Hamilton of Galveston; and four grandchildren, Jennifer Lewis, Austin Hall, Joan Conley, and Isabella Hall.
