Howell, Kentucky-It is with sadness that I attempt to write a short obituary of a dear step-mother to wit: Kentucky Howell, who was born February 16, 1878, and departed this life November b, 1943, age 65 years, 8 months and 26 days old. She was the daughter of Elisha and Nancy Ferrell. She was married to Tandy Howell about the year 189\emdash ?, and to this union was born 7 children; 5 of whom preceded her in death, and her dear husband also died February 29, 1922, and the 2 children living, Anthony Howell, Richardson, Ky., and Mrs. Ida Dye Pigeon, Ky. She joined the Regular Baptist Church, at Island Creek where she lived happy until death and filled her seat all she could and called the Brethren in her home to preach for her and was always ready to feed and take care of the church and was kind and tender mother and was good and kind to her step-children and seemed to be glad to see them come to her home.
