BIOGRAPHY: DANIEL NEWSOME
It is very sad and lonesome for me to write an obituary of my brother in the Lord, to wit Daniel Newsome. Daniel was born August 3, 1891, and deceased March 25, 1960 at the age of 68 years 7 months and 22 days. Daniel Newsome first married Rhodina Hamilton the year of 1910, this writer's sister of the Flesh also a sister in the Lord. Brother Daniel and sister Rhodina Hamilton spent nearly twenty five years together, and to their union was born 11 children, three deceased in infancy, and one son, J. Lee Newsome got killed in the mines since the death of father leaving six children by his first wife weeping over father. the names are : Dakota, John B., Mary Alice, Chester, Susan and Charlie. On August 10, 1935 after the death of sister Rhodina brother Daniel married rutha Hamilton, daughter of Elder J.W. Hamilton. Unto this union was born three children, two deceased in infancy leaving one daughter, Shirley May and his wife Ruthie weeping over the losss of Brother Daniel Newsome. Brother Daniel joined the Samaria Church of Old Regular Baptist in 1925. He spent 36 years in the church. He was a faithful member. He had 49 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. I knew Brother from boyhood days. We worked together many days. Brother Daniel was on of the most sincere men I ever seen about doing wrong. I don't think anyone can say truthfully Brother Daniel did them wrong. He was an honest hard working man. After Brother Daniel professed a hope in Christ he lived what he professed. He was a Deacon of the Samaria Church for several years. I do know he did everthing he could for the church. Now there is a seat vacant in the old Church and at home. Brother Daniel married my sister the first time and the last time my wife's sister (his wife was Lula Jane Hamilton). I loved Brother Daniel, but I feel the Lord loved him best. I went to the hospital to see him. He pointed up toward Heaven. Brother Daniel bore the fruit of the Christian. He never suffered long. I feel his suffering is over. Most all his children are following in his footsteps. May God Bless the children and Ruthie. I have a hope I will meet Brother Daniel again. WRITTEN BY: ELDER J.B. HAMILTON, farewell5. RUTHA NEWSOME
By the help of the Lord, I will try to write an obituary of my loving and precious mother, Rutha Newsome. Mom was the daughter of Elder J. W. and Vina Hamilton. Mom was born April 9, 1908, making her stay on earth seventyeight years and twelve days. Mom met and married Dad, Daniel Newsome, August 10, 1935 and the Lord blessed them with three children. Dad and two children, Gerlie Fay and Harold James, preceded her in death, leaving to mourn the loss of one so dear to me are: Shirley May Hamilton, her only daughter, and two grandchildren, whom she loved as her own, Gary Hamilton and Jeanetta Bryant; and two great-grandchildren, whom she loved very much, Shirley Marie and Jason Daniel. Mom was sadly missed by everyone who knew her. After Dad passed away, Mom went to Michigan and made her home with me and my husband, Eugene Hamilton. Mom was a hard-working woman throughout her life. She always had her doors open to feed the church people. She was good to everyone. Mom had a smile for everyone. Oh, how we miss her. We hated to see her go, but the Lord knows best-He needed another rose in his garden. Mom didn't belong to the church, but she bore the fruit of a Christian. I feel and believe Mom and bad are at rest together where they won't have to part anymore. I want to say her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, I know you miss Grandma so much, but try and meet her in Heaven someday, where you won't have to part anymore. I want to say to my husband, Eugene, who was so good to Mom and cared for her, I won't ever forget it and I hope someday we both will meet Mom and Dad in the sweet by and by, where we all won't have to part anymore. Oh, how lonesome, Mom, it is here without you but I know you are much better off. You suffered so much in this old world. Mom had three sisters to mourn the loss of one so dear' Alice, Lizzie, and Margie; four brothers: Christopher, Kenis, Clifford and Elijah; and three stepchildren: Mary Alice, Susan and Chester. Mom had a smile for everyone. My home is so lonesome without Mom. I want to say to Gary and Jeanette, don't ever forget the good counsel Mamaw gave you. Oh, how she loved you both and I know you loved her. I could go on writing good things about Mom, but her life has proven what a good woman she was. I loved and cared for Mom so much, but I feel I will be with her and Dad some day, where we will be happy in that Heavenly home. She was so precious to me. I miss you Mom, it is so hard to bear, but sleep on, Mom. I will meet you over there. One so dear from me is gone, now she is resting around the great Throne. Her lovely smile we will see no more, until we meet on that Heavenly shore. Oh, dear Mom, how I loved you.

«u»«b»EMMITT HAMILTON«/u»«/b»
It is with much sadness that my children and I will write an obituary of my beloved husband and loving father, Emmitt Hamilton. He was born February 11, 1912 at Teaberry, Kentucky. He suffered and was being doctored for about a year for hardening of the arteries. He hated so bad to go in the hospitals. He passed away January 10, 1983 after a short illness in the Pikeville Hospital. Making his life here on earth 70 years and 11 months.
We were married 51 years and had celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary. We got so close together the last couple of years. I told Emmitt that we had spent 50 years together here on earth and I wanted us to be together in heaven. He replied, "I'll be right there, don't worry," He was sincere. I knew he had been praying for quite a while before he died. He wasn't a member of the church, but he deeply believed in God. He wanted me to go to church and he always wanted me to pray for him. He was very happy when the members came to visit and eat with us.
Everyone who knew Emmitt liked him and Emmitt was kind to everyone he knew.
Emmitt worked hard all of his life. He was a retired coal miner. He also was a merchant and a farmer. He always talked about his old mining friends. We miss him so much around our home. But I do sincerely believe he is with the angels.
I want to say to all of my children "Get right, and meet your Dad in heaven."
Emmitt was the son of the late German and Mindy Newsome Hamilton of Teaberry, Kentucky. He is survived by his loving wife, Alice and six children: Virble Brown, Allen Park, Michigan, Dorothy Hamilton, Lincoln Park, Micigan, Alonzo Hamilton, Taylor, Michigan. John L. Hamilton, Eva Pauline Brown, and Jan Marlin Hamilton; all of Teaberry, Kentucky. He is also survived by three whole sisters: Sarah Hamilton, Sadie & Maxie Blankenship, and one whole brother, John Hamilton all of Teaberry, Kentucky. One half sister, Margie Lavender, Columbus, Ohio; two half brothers: Kenis Hamilton, Flat Rock, Michigan, Clifford Hamilton, Teaberry, Kentucky.Written by his loving wife and children
