Age 82, of Dana, died Sunday, September 14, 1997, in the Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg. She was born December 14, 1914, in Dana and was a daughter of the late Lewis and Huldie Howell Boyd. She was a member of the Salem Regular Baptist Church at Harold. Her husband, Bruce Jartell, preceded her in death. She is survived by five sons, Clifford, Gary and Troy Jarrell, all of Dana, and James Jarrell of Cleveland, Ohio, and Charles Jarrell of Detroit, Michigan; four daughters, Anna Ray Boyd, Lowana Bearden, and Margaret Boyette, all of Dana, Uvon Frnciano of Detroit, Michigan; one brother, Earnest Boyd of Banner; five sisters, Jenny Jartell of Banner, Mousie Boyd and Hazel Boyd, both of Dana, Rosie Owens of Hindman and Nancy Wojtowicz of Detroit, Michigan, 25 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and five great- great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, September 16, at 11 a.m. in the Little Salem Regular Baptist Church at Dana, with the Regular Baptist ministers officiating. BOYD, Anna Ray Age 70, of Dana, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2002, in the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, after a brief illness. She was born on November 16, 1932, at Dana, the daughter of the late Bruce and Birdie Boyd Jarrell. She was a factory worker and housewife. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charley Boyd; two brothers, James and Charles Jarrel; and a sister, Lowana Bearden. She is survived by three sons, Charles Ray Boyd, and wife, Pam, and Larry Dean Boyd, all of Dana; and Jeffery Todd Boyd and wife, Annette, of Dayton, Ohio; two daughters, Lenore Rowe and husband Kermit, of Dana, and Mary (Berta) Rowe of Dana; three brothers, Clifford Jarrell, Troy Jarrell and Gary Jarrell, all of Dana; two sisters, Margaret Boyette of Dana, and Uvon Fruciano of Warren, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Dwayne Rowe, Stacey Mullins, Amy Adkins, Alan Adkins, Megan Boyd Wright, Amanda Rowe and Lacey Boyd Hall; and six great-grandchildren, Casey Rowe, Keegan Mullins, Chely Wright, Austin Rowe, Ethan Rowe and Emily Wright. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, December 10, at 11 a.m., in the Little Salem Old Regular Baptist Church, at Dana, with ministers of the Old Regular Baptist Church officiating. Charley Boyd f rom Dana, Kentucky, the son of James and Maggie Boyd, born December 23, 1923, died May 13, 1977 at the age of 53. He was married to Anna Ray Jarrell Boyd, December 21, 1947, they had five children, two girls, Lenore Rowe, Mary Madglene Adkins and three boys, Charles Ray, Larry Dean, and Jeffery Todd, all live at Dana. He had six grandchildren, two brothers, Aruthur and Estill Boyd, three sisters, Minnie Akers, Nell Samons, and Opal Lafferty, Opal died December 23, 1977, seven months after Dad's death.
Daddy was not a member of any church, but he went to church every Sunday, I hope that we can live as much by the Bible as Daddy did, we all miss him very much but I know if anyone goes to Heaven Daddy did and that makes it a little easier to accept.His daughter,
