Obituary - Lola Bates Honeycutt, age 100, of Pinetop, Kentucky, died Monday, September 4, 2006 at her residence. She was born March 28, 1906, the daughter of the late Roger and Elizabeth Bates. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons: Sammy Honeycutt and Jack Honeycutt; one daughter: Pauline Jackson; 13 brothers and sisters. She is survived by three sons: Larry (Pauline) of Kite, Kentucky, Grant (Joy) Honeycutt of Pinetop, Kentucky and Glenn Honeycutt of Litt Carr; one daughter: Jessie (Kenneth R.) Collins of Huntington, West Virginia; 15 grandchildren 18 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, September 7, 2006, at 1 p.m., at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Hindman, Kentucky, with L.C.Slone, Ivan J. Amburgey, and Bobby Amburgey officiating. Burial followed in the Bates Cemetery, Colson, Kentucky, under the direction of Nelson Frazier Funeral Home.
