Elisha Johnson was a horse trader who sold horses in NC. He met Lucy Austin in Ashe Co NC. Elisha enlisted on 25 Oct 1861 in the 34th NC Infantry, Co A Confederate Army as a Private. A couple of times he was reported missing, but later determined to have been very ill. He was discharged in Jun 1862.
