Obituary: Alva Johnson Mullins
22 Nov 1900 - 8 Feb 1978
Mrs. Alva Mullins, 77, of Topmost, died Wednesday, February 8, (1978) at her home Following a prolonged illness. A daughter of the late Warfield and Mary Caudill Johnson, she was born November 22, 1900. She had been a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church for 43 years.
Survivors include a son, Denver Mullins, of Mansfield, OH; two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Hall and Mrs. Effie Hall, both of Topmost; two brothers, Calvin and Clinis Waddles, both also of Topmost; two sisters, Rosie Mullins, of Crab Orchard, and Mrs. Nancy Howard, of Topmost; 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 11, at the Providence Old Regular Baptist Church at Topmost by the Revs. Bert Hall and Walter Burke officiating. Burial was made in the Dry Creek cemetery under direction of the Knott Funeral Home of Hindman.
