Obituary - Essie Jean Bentley, 84, died February 11, 2008 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital, Whitesburg, Letcher Co KY. Born in Lewis County, KY, she was a daughter of the late George and Cindy Bentley Newson and the widow of Robert Bryant Bentley. She was the mother of the late Sonia Dee Collier, Darrell Lynn Polly, and Gary Von Polly. Mrs. Bentley was a member of the King's Chapel Church. Funeral services were held February 14, 2008 at Everidge Funeral Home. Burial was in the Sandlick Cemetery, Whitesburg, KY. Surviving are five sons, Gail Patrick Polly, Jackson, Mich.; George Michael Polly, River Rouge, Mich.; Billy Rex Polly, Isom, KY; and Bobby Dean Bentley and Jeffrey Keith Bentley, both of Whitesburg, KY; a daughter, Donna Kayron Sturgill, McRoberts, KY; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
