OBITUARY OF BOONIE "PETE" POTTER, JR. Boonie "Pete" Potter, Jr., son of the late Boonie and Mary (Hall) Potter was born at Jackhorn, Kentucky on August 15, 1934. He passed from this life
at his residence on March 14, 2000, making his stay here on earth 65 years, 6 months and 29 days.
Pete had been battling cancer for the past 8 years. He has been seriously ill for the last month before his passing.
He married Polly Johnson at Clintwood, Virginia on September 24, 1970. Pete is a retired miner having worked in the coal mines for over 25 years. After retiring he began dealing in scrap metals and selling cars. He has been a member of the Moore's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church for the past two years. Pete is survived by his wife Polly of Neon, Kentucky; stepdaughter: Brenda Bolling of Mayking, Kentucky; brother: Larry Potter of Quaker City, Ohio;
sisters: May Ruth Bentley of Amherst, Ohio, Judy Webb of LaGrange, Ohio and Gearldine Bentley of Jackhorn, Kentucky; step-grandchildren: Shelby
Daylong, Tony, Michael and Tommy Bolling; step-great grandchildren: Tyler Daylong, Kayla and Shawn Bolling. Also surviving are a host of nieces,
nephews and other relatives and friends.
