Obituary: Arada E. Potter, 99, of Airport Road, Woodsfield, Ohio, formerly of Clarington, Ohio, died Saturday, May 6, 2006 at the Woodsfield Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Woodsfield. She was born March 3, 1907 in Clarington, the daughter of the late Jacob and Alice Mallory Kernan. She was a homemaker, a member of the Order of Ohio Easter Star Chapter 533 in Clarington, and a member of the Clarington United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Firl Potter, and a son, Firl Potter Jr.
Survivors include her close friend, Gladys Trembly and her family of Hannibal, Ohio; a niece, Patty (Frank) Wolfe, of Moundsville, W. Va.; a sister-in-law, Cora Clark of Indiana and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Grisell Funeral Home, 125 Clarinda Drive, Clarington, with an Eastern Star service at 7 p.m., and where funeral services will be held Wednesday, at 1 p.m., with Rev. Richard Wilson officiating. Interment in Clarington Cemetery, Clarington, Ohio. Memorial donations may be made to Clarington United Methodist Church, 106 Church Street, Clarington, OH 43915.
