OBITUARY OF CLINTON STEWART
CLINTON STEWART, son of Robert Stewart and Mary Mullins, was born April 15, 1893 at Etty, Kentucky, passed from this life at the Whitesburg
Appalachian Regional Hospital, January 27, 1980, being 86 years, 9 months and 12 days of age at his passing.
Clinton has made his home just inside the Pike County line for the last 18 years. He worked in and around the mines for 15 years having worked for Elkhorn Coal Corp. for thirteen of these years. He was a member of the
Pilgrim Rest Regular Baptist Church for 18 years and a member of the Regular Baptist Organization for well over fifty years.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Jane Fleming in 1960. Also preceding him were four children, three brothers, and three sisters.
Clinton is survived by his present wife, Cora (Bentley) Stewart of Dorton, Ky., daughters: Lillie Pearl Mann and Octavia Clouse of Jackhorn;
Jacqueline Williams, Cromona; sons: Rush Stewart, Neon; Billy Stewart, Loraine, Ohio; sisters: Bessie Fleming; and Mennie Holbrook, Jackhorn;
Nannie Fleming, Thornton; Myrtle Fleming, Louisville, Ky., brothers: Henry Stewart, Ohio: Rush Hall, Dunham; George Stewart, Norton, Va.; Dock
Stewart, Pikeville; Daniel Stewart, Etty; and Jack Stewart, Grundy, Va., 24 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and a number of other relatives
and friends to mourn his passing.
