Grady Cleo Tackett, age 77, passed away Tuesday, July 20th, 2010 at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, Pike County, Kentucky. Grady was born on Oct. 10th, 1932 to his parents the late Corbett Tackett and Victoria Tackett. Grady was the husband of Ilene Tackett, a chemist for Great Lakes Steel, and a member of the Sookies Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Grady was preceded in death by two brothers, Estil Tackett, Charlie Tackett, and three sisters, Tera Tackett, Dera Tackett, and Nola Mae Tackett. Along with his wife, Grady is survived by five sons, William Tackett of Flat Rock, Mi., Chris Tackett of Salyersville, Ky., Grady Tackett Jr. of Woodhaven, Mi., Phil Tackett of Charlotte, N.C., Tony Tackett of Mare's Creek, Ky., one brother, Ralph Tackett of Ecorse, Mi., twelve grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Sookeys Creek Freewill Baptist Church. The funeral will be Friday July 23rd, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Sookey's Creek Freewill Baptist Church. The burial will follow in the J. Tackett Cemetery at Long Fork, Pike County, Kentucky
