Obituary -
Mildred Taylor Burger: Funeral services for Mildred T. Burger, 87, were
held December 22, 2007 in New Albany, Ind. Burial was in Graceland Memorial
Park. Born at Hindman, KY, she was a daughter of the late Hiram and Lucinda
Taylor, and a sister of the late Frances Newland. She was a graduate of Alice
Lloyd College and taught school for many years. She also worked for Phillip
Morris for 32 years before retiring. Mrs. Burger was a founding member of the
Parkway Baptist Church. She and her husband, the late James F. Burger, enjoyed
camping and were members of the Red Jacket Campers Club. Surviving are two
sons, James T. Burger and wife Theresa, Cookeville, Tenn., and John F. Burger
and wife Sherri, New Albany, Ind.; a daughter, Myrta J. Rose and husband Jim,
New Albany, Ind.; two sisters, Donice Turner, Hindman, KY, and June Davidson,
Kendelville, Ind.; four grandchildren, Sherry Staves, Vincent Rose, Sarah M.
Rose, and Corby Burger, and a great-grandson, Austin Staves. Posted in the
