«u»«b»MOORE, Ocie «i»Hamilton«/u»«/b»«/i» Age 86, of McDowell, widow of Astor "Bud" Moore and Tramble Mitchell Sr., died Thursday, November 16, 2006, in the McDowell Appalachian Regional Medical Center. She was born April 27, 1920, in McDowell, a daughter of the late Will and Maude Hall Hamilton. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Carl Moore of Panama City, Florida; three daughters: Clara Cooper of Ashtabula, Ohio, and Barbara Parrott and Brenda Rice, both of Richmond, Virginia; two brothers: Homer Hamilton of McDowell, and Sam Hamilton of Indianapolis, Indiana; a sister, Annie Moore Johnson of McDowell, and granddaughter, Judy K. Stumbo of McDowell; 18 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Gomer Moore; a daughter, Shirley Moore Collins; five brothers: Lee Hamilton, Andy Hamilton, Harold Hamilton, Eddie Hamilton, and Pearl Hamilton; and two sisters, Gerlie Elliott, and Veda Tackett. Funeral services for Ocie Hamilton Moore were conducted Sunday, November 19, in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, in Martin, with Old Regular Baptist ministers officiating. Burial was in the Jack Hall Cemetery (Neds Fork), in McDowell, with the Hall Funeral Home caring for those arrangements. Visitation was at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Phillip Whitaker, Michael Moore, Mark Moore, James Parker, William Stumbo, and Danny Moore. (FCT'S 11-22-2006)
