Opal R. Sieber-Dill - News Banner - (Mar/1/2006). Opal R. Sieber-Dill, 92, of Rock Creek Twp., Huntington County, died at Adams Memorial Hospital Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006 from injuries suffered in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Ind. 116 and Ind. 218 in Adams County. Born April 6, 1913 in Shelby Gap, Ky., to Enoch and Josephine Bentley Potter, her first marriage was to Lee Seiber, who preceded her in death in 1960. She then married Orville Fulton in 1973 and he preceded her in death in 1985. She married Harry C. Dill in 1990. He died from injuries suffered in the same car accident.

A 20-year employee of Anchor-Hocking Glass in Winchester, she was a member of the Heritage Church of Christ in Huntington. She is survived by four sons, Gene Seiber of Anderson, Douglas Seiber of New Paris, Ohio, Kenneth Seiber of Winchester, and Royce Seiber of Camby; three daughters, Mrs. Norman (Ollie) Glass of Union City, Mrs. Jack (Mary) Phillips of Lynn, and Mrs. Jon (Alice) Brausa of Brownsville; a sister, Cloie Boyd of Shelby Gap, Ky., 33 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, more than 60 great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were a son, James Gary Sieber in 2000, a daughter, Norma Lee Adams in 2002; five sisters, Ollie Sanders, Cora Childers, Celesta Potter, Eura Moore and Pearl Potter; and six brothers, Roosevelt, Everett, John Vent, Sylvan, Cameron P. and Grady Potter. Services at 11 a.m. Thursday will be under the direction of Elders Jerry Bailey and Royce Evans and evangelist Jerry Sills, at Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel.

Additional services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Winchester Church of Christ with minister Tim Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester. There are two sets of calling hours. The first will be held at Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. The second will be at the Winchester Church of Christ Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Winchester Church of Christ or the Heritage Church of Christ.

Opal passed away at the Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur from injuries sustained in an automobile accident at the intersection of SR 218 and SR 116 in Adams County, Indiana. Mrs. Dill was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, canning and creating quilts. She worked for 20 years at Anchor Hocking Glass Company in Winchester, retiring in 1973. She was a member of the Heritage Church of Christ in Huntington. She was born in Shelby Gap, Kentucky a daughter of Enoch and Josephine (Bentley) Potter. She was united in marriage to Lee Seiber in 1932. He preceded her in death in 1960. She then married Orville Fulton in 1973. He preceded her in death in 1985. She then married Harry C. Dill in 1990. Mr. Dill also died as a result of same accident on February 25, 2006. Survivors include: four (4) sons, Mr. Gene (Betty) Seiber of Anderson, IN, Mr. Douglas (Margie) Seiber of New Paris, OH, Mr. Kenneth (Cheryl) Seiber of Winchester, IN, and Mr. Royce (Lori) Seiber of Camby, IN; three (3) daughters, Mrs. Norman (Ollie) Glass of Union City, IN, Mrs. Jack (Mary) Phillips of Lynn, IN and Mrs. Jon (Alice) Brausa of Brownsville, IN; one (1) daughter-in-law Lori Seiber of Ridgeville, IN; one (1) sister, Cloie Boyd of Shelby Gap, KY; thirty-three (33) grandchildren; five (5) step-grandchildren; over sixty (60+) great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: a son, James Gary Seiber in 2000; a daughter, Norma Lee Adams in 2002; five sisters, Ollie Sanders, Cora Childers, Celesta Potter, Eura Moore and Pearl Potter; and six brothers, Roosevelt V. Potter, Everett Potter, John Vent Potter, Sylvan Potter, Cameron P. Potter, and Grady Potter.

Lee Seiber, 48 dies at hospital; rites Wednesday. Lee Seiber, 48, 350 Ann Street in Winchester, died Monday night at the Randolph County Hospital. He was a salesman for Rawleigh Products Company. Mr Seiber, who came to Winchester in 1953 from Lincoln County Ky, was a memeber of the Lynn Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Maynard and Walker Mortuary in Winchester in charge of William Hale. Burial will be in Fountain Park cemetery. Survivors include the widow Opal; four daughters, Mrs Oakley Adams, Winchester, Mrs Norman Glass, Cincinnati, Mary and Alice, both at home; five sons, Franklin, Douglas, Harvey, James and Royce, all at home; the mother, Mrs Phoebe Seiber, Winchester; one brother, Harvey Seiber, Louisville, KY, and two sisters, Mrs Manuel Boyd, Neon KY and Mrs William Jones, Jeff, KY.

Harry died as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident at the intersection of SR 218 and SR 116 in Adams County, Indiana. Mr. Dill was a life long Rock Creek Township farmer. He was born in Rock Creek Township, Huntington County, Indiana a son of Henry Monroe and Faye Nancy (Crull) Dill. He was a 1938 graduate of West Rock Creek High School. He was a former member of the Majenica United Methodist Church and was a current member of the Heritage Church of Christ. He was a long time member of the Markle Lodge #453 F & AM and current member of Bluffton Lodge #145 F & AM and a member of the Scottish Rite in Fort Wayne. He played as a violinist in the Rex Arlington Orchestra and was a member of the Huntington County Farm Bureau. He was united in marriage to Ethel L. Wisener on December 6, 1958 in Winchester, Indiana. She preceded him in death on August 2, 1987. He then married Opal (Potter) Seiber in 1990. She also died as a result of the accident on February 25, 2006. Survivors include: numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, George Dill in 1990 and Maurice Dill in 1999; and an infant sister, Gladys Dill.
