James Harold Tucker, age 88, of Shelby Gap, Kentucky passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Whitesburg ARH Hospital. James was born on February 28, 1930 to his parents the late Christopher C. Tucker and Savannah Pearl Potter Tucker.
James was the husband of Leona Tucker. James was a Retired Coalminer and a member of the Glory Bound Freewill Baptist Church.
Along with his parents James was preceded in death by one brother-Grady Tucker, one sister, Avonelle Rose.
James is survived by his wife-Leona, two sons, James Edward (Lyndia) Tucker, Jerry (Helen) Tucker, one brother, Kenneth (Daisy) Tucker. He also survived by six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 6:00 PM at the Glory Bound Freewill Baptist Church, Ashcamp, Kentucky. Church services will be Sunday and Monday nights at 7:00 PM at the church. Funeral will be Tuesday, March 20, 2018, 11:00 AM at the Glory Bound Freewill Baptist Church with Edgar Sanders and Homer Lee Mullins and others officiating.
